Mid-autumn Festival 2018-2019

On 24th September 2018, we celebrated the Chinese Mid-Autumn festival. This festival always falls on the 15th day of the 8th month according to the Chinese lunar calendar.

The harvest festival is the second-largest festival in China and a very important day in the calendar. The festival celebrates gathering and thanksgiving for a successful harvest. It is also known as the Moon festival as it is usually accompanied by a full moon.

Our children celebrated the festival making lanterns, singing songs and of course eating lots of moon cake!
